Hydro-line, the well-known american group (based in rockford, illinois) a world leader in the manufacture of hydraulic cylinders, has been present in italy since the seventies, when vagnone & boeri started production under licence, which later passed to cosema international. Since then over 100,000 cylinders have been manufactured in italy and used with satisfaction all over the world.
In 1998 italy was therefore the natural choice for the new european headquarters of the new company, hydro-line s. R. L. Funded entirely with u. S. Capital.
In the new company decades of experience on the hydro-line product came together; the acquisition of the cylinders division of valtro (the ex metal and mechanical company stocchetta) in october 1998 added the structures and the technical, operative and human resources of a company which has been famous since 1967 for its special cylinders and large-scale cylinders.
In the year 2000 eaton (based in cleveland, ohio) a world leader in the sectors of components and systems technology for industries (brands such as aeroquip, vickers, etc. ) with over 200 plants world-wide and a turnover of $8.4bn, purchased the whole world business of cylinders from hydro-line.
In march 2002 eaton, in accordance with the new policy of using outside services with the aim of improving the service to customers, transferred the activities of hydro-line s. R. L. To lha srl thanks to a management buy-out.
Today the hydro-line expertise in small and medium bore standard tie-rod cylinders is now combined with the technological excellence of the stocchetta specially customized and large-bore cylinders.
